Canvas: frames, comments and minimap
The biggest update since the canvas launched: named areas, discussion threads, an overview map, and turning a sticky note into a task.

β¨ New
πΌοΈ Frames β Mark out named areas of your canvas. A frame carries its content when you move it, doubles as a navigation landmark, and can be exported as an image or projected in presentation mode.
π¬ Comments β Drop a comment anywhere (shortcut C). Each thread shows its author's avatar, opens on click, accepts replies and can be marked as resolved. As you zoom out, nearby pins group together; clicking a group zooms into it.
π Side rail β Browse every thread, resolved ones included, with search and direct access. A second tab lists your frames.
πΊοΈ Minimap β An overview in the bottom-right corner to find your bearings and move around. Indicators point to elements off screen.
π·οΈ Connector labels β Name an arrow to spell out the relationship it stands for.
π Turn a sticky note into a task β A note from a workshop becomes a backlog task in two clicks: title, description, type, tracker and status are prefilled and editable. Connectors already drawn to the note are preserved.
βοΈ Pen settings β Pick the colour and thickness of your stroke before drawing. Your settings are remembered.
π Keep proportions while resizing β Hold Shift during a resize to keep the aspect ratio. It also works mid-gesture.
β©οΈ Undo and redo with others β History accounts for simultaneous work: you undo your own actions, not your colleagues'.
π Dark theme β The canvas now follows the application theme.
β¨οΈ Keyboard shortcuts β Every tool has one, shown on the side toolbar.
π Improvements
- π§ Smoother navigation: panning, zooming, and a "Fit" command that frames all your content.
- π§° Redesigned toolbars that stay legible at any zoom level.
- π Easier connections: more visible anchor points, snapping, and visual feedback on hover.
- ποΈ Sticky notes: text now adapts to the size of the note.
- π» Deleted or inaccessible tasks: the card stays visible and explains the situation instead of disappearing without warning.
- β‘ Performance: dragging stays smooth on busy canvases.
- π― Visual consistency: a single typeface, identical corners and shadows across every element.
- βΏ Accessibility: keyboard navigation, visible focus, contrast, and support for the system reduced-motion setting.
- π Full French and English translations, and a layout adapted to small screens.
π Fixes
Ctrl+Zonly went partway back, andCtrl+Ydid nothing at all.- The connector label input rendered entirely black.
- The cursor was not placed automatically in a new comment field.
- A comment preview on hover could slip behind neighbouring pins.
- Clicking outside a discussion thread did not close it.
- Some text became unreadable in the dark theme.
- A frame title was edited in the wrong place.
- Several errors when adding a comment.
π‘ Good to know
- β οΈ Turning a sticky note into a task is permanent. The task is created in your backlog:
Ctrl+Zwill not delete it. The rest of your history remains undoable as usual. - π A task created without a status will only appear on a Kanban board if the "Unassigned" column is enabled there. The canvas warns you at creation time.
